Welcome to the Magaliesberg! GoVertical Backpackers is situated close enough to Johannesburg & Pretoria, Gauteng for all things 'city', but fortunately tucked, far enough away at the foot of the ancient Magaliesberg mountains so that you can relax, unwind from the rigours of travel and savour the magic of the country.

Aside from tranquillity and spectacular mountain views, a swimming pool to wallow in and a pub to soak up rural South African life, we have adventures, hiking trails, guided cultural and historical tours. You can pop out and shop at Hartebeespoort Dam, explore the Cradle of Humankind or check out the pastoral scenery from the air. We've got plenty to keep you busy.

The beautiful farm house is the centre of attention, this heritage building is set in immaculate gardens with its awesome wrap around veranda and spacious rooms, its also the reception, GoVertical adventure booking office and skorokoro gear & gift shop.

If you're keen on self-catering, then cook up a storm using our facilities, but if it's a hassle free getaway you're after, then take advantage of our Summit Pub and restaurant for breakfast, light lunches and dinner. Chill out in our lounge, sip our famous GoVertical Choccochino or indulge in our legendary lemon cake!
